dpr will always be 100% honest and transparent. About everything. From beginning to end, the only way to make sure we achieve the best results possible is to make sure that you know the struggles as well as the victories.
dpr will be approachable. dpr is a part of your team and will always be there to listen, brainstorm, and strategize.
dpr will be original. Whether it’s pitching, event planning, or partnerships, anything dpr creates and develops will be unique to you, your project, and your expectations.
the roots
Welcome! I’m Courtney Greenhalgh, the proud founder and president of dandelion pr. dpr was founded in the summer of 2016, but for the first 12+ years of my career, I worked for several of the top book publishers in the country including Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, Random House, Workman, and Time Inc. Books and have either executed or overseen the campaigns for numerous bestselling books and award-winning authors. (For a list of authors and campaigns, go to clients & campaigns.) I am one of the lucky few who truly loves my career and am excited to use my years of experience to help a new crop of authors and publishers alike. With my deep knowledge of how the publishing industry works, I am well-equipped to provide insight and consult. And with my close and meaningful relationships with the media, and the drive to make new connections, I deliver results.
But dpr will not only work on books. While books have been a lifelong passion of mine (I was a voracious reader as a child and then a double English major at the University of Pittsburgh,) they aren’t my only passion. I love music, cooking (read that as “eating,”) exploring new places, and animals (I’m totally a dog person, but really any animal will have me in a puddle on the floor.) My hopes are that dpr will continue to expand into new, exciting industries where my skill set will be useful and my mind challenged.
I live with my family near the shores of New Jersey. We love the beach, cooking dinner to the Frank Sinatra station on Pandora, bedtime stories, and movie nights at home.
I look forward to learning more about you!

planting the seeds

Because dpr’s services are completely customized to your needs, the descriptions below are more broad and general. let’s chat for a more comprehensive plan tailored to you.

"Courtney Greenhalgh is precisely the kind of person you want on your side, I believe, in a public relations effort. She is sharp, thoughtful, and a force of nature. I was proud to have her."
— Rick Bragg, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist & bestselling author
“Courtney helped us launch our History Decoded book with skill, experience, and loads of pizzazz. I miss working with her!”
─Brad Meltzer, bestselling author
“I can’t say enough good things about Courtney. She’s savvy, enthusiastic, tenacious, and always pleasant to work with. As a first-time author, I was very lucky to have her in my corner.”
─Benjamin Wallace, author of the New York Times bestseller, The Billionaire’s Vinegar: The Mystery of the World’s Most Expensive Bottle of Wine
“When you’re on book tour, you want to be busy every waking moment. And you want a publicist who not only books interviews and events, but plans your campaign strategically. Courtney Greenhalgh delivers big time on both accounts. So fasten your seatbelts!.”
─Steven Raichlen, bestselling cookbook author, TV host, and
food writer
“Let's get real, as a client, we judge a solid PR campaign by its destination, and not its journey. Rest assured, Courtney Greenhalgh is able to deliver those sought-after, final results, while also carefully navigating you through the entire campaign from start-to-finish with expert communication, transparency, and a 'can do' attitude to take your projects to the next level, and beyond.”
─Matt Moore, entrepreneur and author of the forthcoming book, The South’s Best Butts: Pitmaster Secrets for Southern Barbecue Perfection due out in spring 2017
“I worked directly with Courtney on the James Beard award-winning Mad Delicious cookbook project. She was a true champion of the project, always fully aligned with the vision of the book, never status-quo in her approach, and always highly collaborative. She digs deep and gets things right.”
─Keith Schroeder, founder and CEO of High Road Craft Ice Cream and author of the James Beard Award-winning book, Mad Delicious: The Science of Making Healthy Food Taste Amazing
“Courtney is a seasoned PR professional ─ connected, motivated, organized, and effective. She is a pleasure to work with and achieves fantastic results.”
─Jill Browning, Jill Browning PR
"It was a pleasure to work with Courtney throughout the launch of my latest cookbook, Essential Emeril. She was professional and knowledgeable with a true passion in a competitive market and was able to keep the momentum sustained before, during and after the release."
─Emeril Lagasse, chef, restaurateur, and author
"Courtney is an indefatigable champion for authors. I knew she was the right publicist for me and my book when she showed up at our first lunch with a printout of the manuscript that she had thoroughly marked up with post-its. This was only the beginning of a successful engagement earmarked by her consistent, professional attitude, and her supportive and positive disposition. In short, she was a joy to work with, and an effective partner in raising awareness for me and my book.
─John Tarnoff, career coach, speaker, and author of Boomer Reinvention: How to Create Your Dream Career Over 50
“I love working with Courtney! She knows the challenges of everyday pitching and consistently creates new ways to approach media and secure coverage. Her experience is vast and insight truly helpful in any campaign. She’s also smart, honest, and funny!”
─Tanya Farrell, Wunderkind PR
“I’ve worked hundreds of events at Book Passage for 28 years and my most memorable events have resulted from working with publicist Courtney Greenhalgh. She is experienced, detail oriented, and communicates not only with the author but with the bookseller/event manager so there are no unexpected surprises. These events include cookbook authors Sara Moulton, Steven Raichlen and Emeril Lagasse.”
─Marguerita Castanera, Book Passage, San Francisco, CA
"In an age where publicity for a new book can make the difference between a best seller and average sales, it’s a delight to work with Courtney Greenhalgh. She handled details and press in a very professional way so I could focus on what I love - the food.”
—Rebecca Lang, cookbook author and contributing editor for Southern Living
“Courtney is a gem to work with. Organized. Creative. Absolutely in-the-know regarding the best ways to get the word out about special projects. Working with her for the United Tastes of Texas cookbook from Oxmoor House was so fun and she made it a piece of cake to manage.”
—Jessica Dupuy, cookbook author and food writer

I worked with celebrities, Pulitzer Prize winners, distinguished journalists, doctors, politicians, professors, military personnel, chefs, former government agents, national brands, and more, and I learned from each and every one. This is not quite a complete list, but I believe it is long enough to give you a solid idea of my past experience.
